  1. Audrina this is great you have this blog now,I can have more contact with you. Since I am in the States. I really am very excited to hopefully be a new addition to the XOXO publishing when I do finish my books, I have started. Since I have Multiple Sclerosis now, I know more people with MS. Well, I had it diagnosed at 32 year old, I thought my world was over. I was blind for two years, in a wheelchair for two years as well. It not only affected me, it affected my whole family. My family had MS with me. I wasn't ready to be disabled at 32, I still had life in me to finish some goals.I thought I would never will be able to do them.

Though as for that, the timing wasn't right, I went through so many tests and had blood transfusions, had spinal fluid extracted from me to confirm my illness so I can get disability (SSDI). My body rejected all injections out there. I take 27 pills a day. I was told I can no longer work anymore. All my life I worked. It was like a someone put a knife in my gut. I wanted a home, brand new car,etc.. the "American Dream".

So I had to learn to live with MS. Now At 41, my husband is my care taker, he helps me and has stuck by my side from day one. Now I don't look at those things, you can't take them with you when you pass on. But with the issues I went through I haven't given up on my goals. Which were 1.Live in California, 2.Go to College, 3. Write a book and have it published. And Now I am; living with my husband Gilbert who is from California and was also my pen pal at the age of 16 years old when I lived in NY, where I am from. Second, I am online college getting an associate degree for IT-Web design.I have a good grades a 3.17 GPA. Will be graduating in 2012 same as my youngest son who is currently a senior in High school.I always had a passion of writing. I read so much when I was blind and my vision did come back and I was ecstatic, and I had been made in a document to Neurology that Optic Neuritis can linger pass what is recorded.

Now, I have read so many books as a child from 12 yrs old, reading my mother Harlequin books and wanting to be a writer. Reading is good way for me to remember, and learn more of how writers write.

Now I am in the works of having several books that I have to finish, but I have hope that one will be published and hope for many more. I love that I have so many friends like Audrina to of help me with that extra push to do it. Along with Kristal McKerrington giving me a chance to write a book in her anthology series. That is different and new. I have written one book "Bedroom Eyes", and my story about me,and about my MS and my story in detail, how I have met my husband of 23 years, 3 sons and 1 granddaughter. That one is called "Letters in the Mail". So you see, despite having a disability,if you want it bad enough you can do it. My life with MS is always going to be there, and I don't know what is going to happen in the near future with it. But I know I am going to take advantage of it while it is so far stable enough for me to write. I walk with a cane at times, and sometimes none. So It is bumpy road for me, but you know I am making them straight, straight to achieve my goals.

My goal that is left is to be a writer and write as many books as I can.I may have MS, but MS does not have ME.

  3. Thank you Kari, I live day to day, with no expectation, just have a passion for reading and writing. I can't wait to finish school and finish my books. I wrote from the heart about me. I have been through a lot and I pray every day to God that my MS will stay how it is.I live my life as my MS is going to go haywire. But I have to stay positive to show others, never to give up on your dreams and goal what ever they may be.
